Job summary

Balfour Beatty VINCI, a joint venture delivering HS2 infrastructure, is seeking a Senior Planner/MEP Planner in the Midlands. The role focuses on developing and maintaining detailed MEP programmes, integrating with overall project delivery, and guiding commissioning and handover schedules.

You will review schedule performance, conduct critical path analyses, and support planning strategy across interfaces with civil, rail systems, and design teams. Right-to-work in the UK is required.

Qualifications

• Degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Engineering, Construction Management, Project Management or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Senior Planner, Project Planner or MEP Planner on major infrastructure or construction projects.
• Significant experience planning Mechanical, Electrical and Public Health works with advanced Primavera P6 expertise.

Responsibilities

• Develop, maintain and manage detailed MEP project programmes using Primavera P6.
• Integrate MEP activities into the wider construction and project delivery programme.
• Establish project baselines and monitor progress against milestones.
• Develop commissioning, testing and handover schedules in collaboration with delivery teams.
• Analyse programme performance and identify risks, opportunities and mitigation strategies.
• Conduct critical path analysis and programme impact assessments.
• Support the development of short-term and long-term planning strategies.
