Job summary

Beeby Anderson Recruitment is assisting a growing MEP and sustainability consultancy in the UK to appoint a senior Mechanical or Electrical Building Services Engineer. You will lead a small multidisciplinary MEP team and shape the technical direction of ambitious projects.

Reporting to the founding Directors, you will deliver energy‑positive, net‑zero schemes, manage programmes and budgets, and engage with architects and clients, with significant autonomy in a fast‑moving consultancy.

Qualifications

• Chartered Engineer with 10+ years delivering MEP solutions for complex buildings.
• Experience leading small engineering teams.
• Strong understanding of UK Building Regulations.
• Proven ability to manage design, energy performance and stakeholder coordination.

Responsibilities

• Lead MEP design and delivery of complex projects including energy‑positive and net‑zero schemes.
• Develop integrated low‑carbon plant, storage and energy‑sharing strategies.
• Coordinate designs with architects, clients and project stakeholders.
• Ensure compliance with Building Regulations and planning requirements.
• Manage programmes, budgets and energy-performance targets.
• Support planning and Building Control approval.
