Job summary

You will establish early budgets, develop cost plans, support design teams to meet budget objectives, manage tendering, procurement and post‑contract reporting, and mentor junior cost professionals.

Qualifications

• Proven track record in cost management across full project lifecycle.
• Professionally qualified (RICS or equivalent) or working towards.
• Degree or HNC level qualification.
• Experience delivering MEP elements for clients.

Responsibilities

• Lead commission management for MEP within projects; establish budgets and cost plans.
• Produce estimates and cost plans and present final costs to stakeholders.
• Manage tendering and procurement activities (single- and two-stage).
• Oversee post‑contract cost variations and change control processes.
• Undertake cost checks and valuations with timely reporting.
• Produce and present monthly post‑contract cost reports.
• Contribute to value engineering and cost optimisation initiatives.
• Negotiate and agree final accounts; collaborate with clients and project teams.
