Job summary

Turner & Townsend in Edinburgh is seeking an experienced MEP Senior Cost Manager to lead the mechanical, electrical and plumbing cost management on complex projects. You will work with developers, occupiers, government, health, education and tech clients to deliver robust cost plans and value engineering.

You will manage budgets, run tendering and procurement, oversee a design team to the budget, and report cost performance to clients throughout the project lifecycle.

Responsibilities

• Commission management across larger projects or direct MEP commissions.
• Assist feasibility studies and write procurement reports.
• Estimate and cost plan, present final cost plan to clients.
• Tendering and procurement, including pre-qualification.
• Manage post contract cost variances and change control.
• Perform cost checks and valuations for large projects.
• Produce monthly post contract cost reports and present to client.
• Input into value engineering and negotiate final accounts.
• Interface with client and other consultants at all stages.
• Lead a cost management team where appropriate.
