Job summary

Group Metropolitan in Scotland is seeking a site-based Senior Project Manager with extensive Main Contractor experience to oversee small to mid-sized constructions, from conception through handover. You will collaborate with designers, architects, commercial teams and sub-contractors to ensure projects meet high standards, on time and within budget. A comprehensive package includes Private Healthcare and an Employee-Owned Trust after 12 months.

Qualifications

• Minimum 5 years’ experience in a Main Contractor role.
• Reside within a 20 mile / 30 minute commute to Glasgow City Centre.
• Full Driving Licence.
• Valid CSCS Card.
• First Aid Trained.
• SMSTS Qualification.
• Two references required.
• DBS Check – Basic or Enhanced (will be completed upon appointment if not current).
• Enhanced Management Training – ILM or Similar
• Technical Author experience
• Degree educated.

Responsibilities

• Proven track record of delivering MEP, Civil and Fit-Out MEP Projects to a high standard.
• Professional demeanour, client facing and strong customer care.
• Chair meetings, drive outcomes, and produce accurate records of discussions and deadlines.
• Interface with design and estimating teams.
• Understand client requirements, technical specs, drawings and project needs.
• Experience in RIBA design, delivery and commissioning stages.
• Identify and manage project risks; escalate when needed.
• Drive project programme and maintain milestones.
• Prepare progress reports and update stakeholders.
• Comply with CDM regulations and HSEQ standards.
