Job summary

Higgins McGrath in Scotland is actively seeking an experienced MEP Project Manager to lead large-scale building services packages across industrial, commercial and infrastructure sectors. You’ll drive delivery from design coordination through installation, commissioning and handover, taking ownership of schedule, quality and safety.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering large-value MEP packages.
• Strong background in mechanical, electrical or wider MEP contracting.
• Proven ability to manage design, procurement, installation and commissioning.
• Experience with main contractor, Tier 1 or specialist MEP contractor.
• Excellent client and stakeholder management.

Responsibilities

• Managing MEP packages from design coordination through installation, commissioning and handover
• Building strong relationships with clients and ensuring works are delivered in a professional and controlled manner
• Managing the procurement and ordering of key materials
• Appointing and managing subcontractors and the wider supply chain
• Ensuring works comply with project specifications, drawings and technical requirements
• Attending client and main contractor design, technical and progress meetings
• Managing in-house and subcontract labour resources
• Monitoring programme, quality, safety and overall project performance
• Ensuring works comply with all relevant legal, statutory and H&S requirements
• Managing contract changes and accurately costing variations
• Preparing and issuing interim valuation claims in line with works completed
• Monitoring project costs and maintaining strong commercial control
• Preparing and presenting monthly contract reports and project KPIs
• Identifying project risks and resolving technical or delivery issues
• Supporting successful testing, commissioning and project handover
