Qualifications

• Level 3 diploma qualification in care or equivalent or willingness to work towards this.
• Flexibility - role involves weekends and Bank Holidays.
• Must attend training throughout employment on weekdays.
• Good written skills and ability to write basic reports and record information accurately.
• Basic IT skills (online care system, emails).
• Good verbal communication and ability to listen.
• Maintain professional boundaries and stay calm in emergencies.
• Desirable: Full UK Driving Licence.
• Desirable: NVQ Level 2 in Care.
• Desirable: Previous experience with young people who have mental health needs.

Responsibilities

• Update online care records and provide effective handovers to day staff.
• Complete medication administration accurately.
• Maintain the general upkeep and tidiness of the home to keep it homely.
• Support the wellbeing, education and life skills of young people.
• Respond to incidents with de-escalation and appropriate reporting.
• Work night shifts as needed and cover occasional wake nights.
