Practice Plus Group’s Heathrow IRC unit is seeking a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to deliver holistic mental health care within a secure immigration removal setting. You will assess needs, plan care, and work autonomously with a multi-disciplinary team to support residents respectfully and safely.

Qualifications

  • NMC registration with Mental Health specialization.
  • Experience working in multi-disciplinary teams.
  • Understanding of neurodiverse conditions including autism and ADHD.

Responsibilities

  • Assess and manage patients' mental health needs.
  • Work autonomously with a multidisciplinary team to develop holistic care plans.
  • Contribute to nursing strategy and provide evidence-based care.
  • Build therapeutic relationships while maintaining professional boundaries.
  • Follow safeguarding policies and participate in care evaluation.

We have an exciting opportunities for a Senior Mental Health Practitioner to join our Primary Care team at Heathrow IRC, a Immigration Removal Centre located in West Drayton.

Heathrow IRC combines Colnbrook and Harmondsworth removals centres under one management structure making it the largest immigration removal centre in Europe, with a capacity of 965 residents.

Hours:

37.5 hours

  • Monday-Sunday

0800hrs - 1800hrs- No nights

Salary

The salary of this role ranges between £46,478 - £55,086 per annum, depending on experience.

Candidates are required to have a Legal right to work in the UK and due to the nature of the role, offers of employment will be subject to additional vetting and security checks

What you'll be doing
  • Responsible for assessment and ongoing management of our patients’ mental health needs.
  • Work collaboratively with the multi-disciplinary team as an autonomous practitioner managing a caseload of patients, assessing their physical, social and psychological needs to develop a holistic health care plan.
  • Contribute to our nursing strategy and vision to; Provide outstanding evidence based care to our patients, seeking out, listening to and acting on their feedback, so that care is personalised and informed by what matters to them.
  • Deliver non-judgemental care, building therapeutic relationships and promoting professional boundaries.
  • Play an active part in the assessment, planning, implementation and evaluation of the patient’s care following our policies and procedures and always considering safeguarding.
