Job summary

Kier Group is seeking a Senior MEICA Manager to join our United Utilities Framework in the North West of England. This role leads mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation activities across water projects, providing technical leadership from feasibility through to commissioning and ensuring safe, compliant delivery.

You will coordinate with design teams, contractors and operational stakeholders, support risk reviews and value engineering, and ensure designs meet industry

Job description

We're looking for a Senior MEICA Manager to join our United Utilities Framework based in the North West of England.

Location: North West of England

Hours: 45 hours per week - some flexibility on hours available if desired, just let us know when you speak to us.

As a Senior MEICA Manager, you'll play a pivotal role in delivering high-quality mechanical, electrical, instrumentation, control and automation solutions across our water projects. Working collaboratively with design teams, contractors and operational stakeholders, you'll provide technical leadership throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring safe, efficient and compliant delivery. This is an excellent opportunity to take ownership of MEICA activities on major infrastructure projects whilst driving innovation and supporting sustainable outcomes for the communities we serve.

What will you be responsible for?

As a Senior MEICA Manager, you'll be working within the Framework team, supporting the successful delivery of projects across the United Utilities programme.

Your day-to-day will include:

  • Leading MEICA input throughout feasibility, design, construction and commissioning phases
  • Reviewing mechanical and electrical requirements and identifying technical risks, opportunities and value engineering solutions
  • Coordinating and managing MEICA consultants, subcontractors and suppliers to ensure quality, safety, programme and commercial targets are achieved
  • Providing technical guidance and support to project teams across all MEICA disciplines
  • Ensuring designs, installations and commissioning activities are compliant with industry standards, client specifications and statutory regulations

  • You have strong experience in a MEICA-focused role within a main contractor or utilities environment
  • You have previous experience delivering water or wastewater infrastructure projects
  • You possess a strong technical understanding across mechanical, electrical, ICA and commissioning activities
  • You can confidently engage with clients, consultants, supply chain partners and operational teams
