Job summary

South London and Maudsley NHS Foundation Trust (SLaM) invites applications for a Mechanical Technician to join the Estates team in Greater London. You will supervise staff and contractors, liaise with compliance teams, and contribute to risk assessments and service improvements.

Qualifications

• Good general knowledge of domestic and commercial buildings.
• Experience in maintenance of plant and equipment preferred.
• Ability to supervise staff and coordinate contractors.

Responsibilities

• Install, maintain, service, and repair a wide range of plant and equipment.
• Diagnose mechanical faults and advise on safety and compliance with HTMs.
• Supervise installations and maintenance by staff and contractors.
• Liaise with compliance teams, ward staff, and other disciplines.
• Attend meetings, provide specialist advice, and manage minor projects.
• Oversee risk assessments, raise purchase orders, and manage tools.
