Job summary

Whittington Health NHS Trust is seeking a Community Maintenance Staff - Mechanical at Band 5 to deliver planned and reactive mechanical maintenance across 13 community sites and the acute hospital when required.

You will maintain plant, equipment and systems, undertake testing and calibration, and provide safe, reliable engineering support to the Estates team while developing multi-skilling across trades.

Qualifications

• NVQ 3 or equivalent and an approved apprenticeship.
• IOSH-Health & Safety qualification is desirable.
• CSCS Gold Card required.
• AP or CP qualification in HTM is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Carry out Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) on mechanical plant and building services.
• Repair, maintenance or installation of plant, equipment, systems and building fabric across Trust properties.
• Attend to fault diagnosis and emergency repairs with methodical problem solving.
• Ensure safe working practices and pass on training to staff and trainees.
