The role focuses on installing, maintaining, servicing, and repairing a wide range of plant and equipment across trust sites, while ensuring safety and regulatory standards are met.
You will supervise staff and contractors, liaise with compliance teams, and contribute to risk assessments and service improvements.
An exciting opportunity has arisen within SLAM for a Mechanical Technician to join the Estates team. The Trust has four main sites and community properties, therefore applicants should be able to arrange their work, parts and materials and carry out tasks in a safe and tidy manner.
To maintain continuity of service there will be times when extra hours, altered work patterns/duties is required. The post-holder must have a good general knowledge of domestic and commercial buildings.

SLaM employ around 5000 staff and serve a local population of 1.1 million people. We have more than 230 services including inpatient wards, outpatient and community services. Currently, provide inpatient care for approximately 5,300 people each year and treat more than 45,000 patients in the community in Croydon, Lambeth, Lewisham and Southwark; as well as substance misuse services for residents of Bexley, Bromley and Greenwich.
