Job summary

BAE Systems in Cowes, Isle of Wight seeks a Lead Mechanical Systems Engineer on a 6-month on-site contract. You will own complex radar systems design, perform system analyses, and drive lifecycle activities from requirements through integration.

Qualifications

• Expert in systems engineering principles and design practices.
• Familiar with ISO 15288 and ISO 24641 standards.
• Experience in mechanical engineering and general systems engineering (signal processing/target track extraction) is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Develop novel solutions to evolving technical challenges for complex phased array radar systems.
• Conduct system design analysis to manage trade-offs of principal system parameters.
• Demonstrate deep understanding of mechanical systems engineering concepts and governance across disciplines.
• Apply ISO 15288 principles to the design and build of complex radar systems through the lifecycle.
