Job summary

METLEN Energy & Metals seeks a Mechanical Site Supervisor to join the Grid & Digital Solutions Department for EGL1 at Torness, Scotland. You will supervise on-site mechanical construction, lead subcontractors and site teams, and ensure high-quality, safe installation of equipment and piping.

You will monitor progress, coordinate with engineering and HSE teams, verify resources, and support testing, commissioning and handover activities as required by the project.

Qualifications

• Diploma or degree in Mechanical Engineering or related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in mechanical construction projects.
• Experience supervising installation works, subcontractors and site teams.
• Knowledge of UK construction and HSE regulations.

Responsibilities

• Supervise day-to-day mechanical construction activities on site.
• Lead mechanical subcontractors and site teams for safe, efficient execution.
• Monitor installation of equipment, piping, structures and plant.
• Ensure works meet project specs, drawings and procedures.
• Track progress, productivity and site performance against milestones.
• Identify issues and constraints, and support timely resolution.
