Job summary

Metlen Energy & Metals seeks a Mechanical Site Supervisor for the EGL1 Project, based in Murton, within the Grid & Digital Solutions Department of the Thermal Power & HVDC Division. You will supervise mechanical construction activities, lead subcontractors, and ensure quality and safety on site.

The role requires 5+ years in mechanical construction, with strong knowledge of drawings, specs, and UK HSE regulations.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in mechanical construction projects.
Experience supervising installation works and subcontractors.
Knowledge of UK construction and HSE regulations.
Fluent in English; strong leadership and communication.
Proficiency with construction drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

Supervise day-to-day mechanical construction activities on site.
Lead mechanical subcontractors and site teams for safe, efficient work.
Monitor installation of equipment, piping, structures, and plant infrastructure.
Ensure works comply with project specs, drawings, procedures, and standards.
Track progress, productivity, and milestones; report regularly.
Identify issues and coordinate timely resolutions.
Coordinate with engineering, quality and HSE teams.
Prepare daily/weekly progress reports and site records.
Promote health, safety and environmental performance on site.
