Kier Group, on the Southern Water framework, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead mechanical installations across water and wastewater projects. This site-based role will oversee delivery in line with designs, quality standards and safe work practices.

You'll work with project teams, design, commissioning and operations staff to drive day-to-day activity and governance. Ideal candidates will have hard-won leadership and technical skills, experience in pumping systems and pipework, and

Competenze

Experience leading mechanical installations on industrial, water, wastewater or process-sector projects.
Strong practical knowledge of pumping systems, pipework, valves and treatment equipment.
Recognised Mechanical Engineering apprenticeship or equivalent qualification.
CSCS Gold Card Supervisor; SSSTS/SMSTS; valid driving licence.
Strong leadership, communication and planning abilities with good computer literacy.

Mansioni

Lead and coordinate daily mechanical installation activities to deliver safe, efficient work on programme.
Review mechanical drawings, specifications and documentation; escalate design issues.
Ensure works comply with safety systems, permits and CDM regulations.
Coordinate mechanical isolations, confined-space work and pressure testing.
Mentor mechanical supervisors and teams, setting expectations and standards.
