Job summary

Rolls-Royce SMR is seeking a Manager – Core Components to lead a team of engineers delivering integrated core component solutions for the reactor design. You will drive technical maturity, governance and programme delivery while shaping future product strategy and capability within a highly regulated environment.

With a Mechanical Engineering degree and Chartered Engineer status (or progress toward it), you will lead cross-functional teams, manage budgets and delivery plans, and build trusted

Qualifications

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering with Chartered Engineer status or active progress toward registration.
  • Experience leading design, development and delivery of complex engineered products in highly regulated industries.
  • Strong knowledge of reactor core components, including fuel assemblies, control rod assemblies, neutron source assemblies or core monitoring equipment.
  • Proven track record of leading engineering teams and developing talent in a collaborative culture.
  • Excellent communication, leadership and decision-making skills with a strategic mindset.

Responsibilities

  • Lead development of integrated Core Component solutions, driving maturity and successful integration into the reactor design.
  • Provide leadership to a growing team and foster a high-performing, inclusive environment.
  • Define and implement delivery strategies, governance and operating models for programme execution.
  • Manage complex programmes balancing technical, schedule, cost and resource needs to hit milestones.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders, suppliers, customers and regulators to ensure design and delivery success.
