Job summary

Randstad CPE is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator for a flagship carbon capture project in Teesside. You will lead estimation activities, assess large-scale equipment installation times, and manage bid budgets while mentoring team members.

Qualifications

• Extensive experience in estimating large-scale mechanical projects (HRSG boilers, steam turbines).
• Detailed knowledge of high-integrity and exotic pipework systems.
• Experience in regulated environments such as petrochemical or nuclear sectors.
• Strong Excel and estimating software proficiency.
• CSCS card and professional membership desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead the estimation process for the project, including price changes and design option interrogation.
• Assess installation times for large equipment like steam turbines and HRSG boilers from drawings.
• Manage bid budgets, ensuring compliance with procedures and financial strategies.
• Collaborate with subcontractors and specialists to optimize design, value, and logistics.
• Implement modern digital toolsets including 5D cost planning and BIM integration.
