Job summary

NRL in Middlesbrough, England, is seeking a Senior Mechanical Estimator to lead costing for the Net Zero Teesside project. You will price labour, materials, equipment and plant, review drawings and specs, and ensure compliance with contract estimating strategies.

You will mentor estimating staff, develop digital estimating tools, deliver cost reports to senior management, and collaborate with engineering, planning and suppliers while maintaining safety, quality and sustainability standards.

Qualifications

• Experience estimating site erection and installation manhours for major mechanical equipment.
• Knowledge of high-integrity and exotic pipework systems.
• Tendering experience in petrochemical, power, nuclear or regulated environments.
• Experience developing customer material take-offs (MTOs).
• Experience leading estimating on major engineering or construction projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead workload and allocate estimating resources across bid teams.
• Review drawings and prepare cost estimates for labour, materials, equipment.
• Produce cost information and reports for senior management.
• Mentor estimators and collaborate with suppliers for accurate forecasts.
