Qualifications

• Previous experience as a Mechanical Estimator within the M&E or Building Services sector.
• Strong understanding of mechanical building services installations.
• Experience pricing commercial, life sciences, industrial, warehouse or data centre projects would be advantageous.
• Excellent commercial awareness and analytical skills.
• Strong communication and organisational abilities.

Responsibilities

• Prepare detailed mechanical estimates and cost plans for tender submissions.
• Review drawings, specifications and employer's requirements.
• Produce accurate take-offs and pricing for mechanical packages.
• Obtain and assess quotations from suppliers and subcontractors.
• Identify value engineering opportunities and cost-saving solutions.
• Work closely with the pre-construction, design and commercial teams throughout the tender process.
• Attend tender meetings and contribute to bid strategy.
• Ensure estimates are completed accurately and within required deadlines.
