Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an Estates Officer (Mechanical) to join the Estates Management Team. You will advise on mechanical building services, supervise maintenance crews and ensure compliance with health, safety, and statutory standards across hospital sites.

The role requires relevant qualifications (HNC/HND in Mechanical/Building Services) and experience in NHS estates. You will support capital projects, energy-saving initiatives, and outages, with on-call duties

Qualifikationen

• Postgraduate diploma in Building Services/Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Professional knowledge in estate services management.
• AP for MGPS/Vent/Decontamination and RP for Water requirements.

Aufgaben

• Assist the Estates Manager (Operational) in managing the engineering services plant and equipment.
• Ensure effective maintenance and breakdown service for engineering plant and equipment.
• Manage delegated service contracts for mechanical services.
• Supervise Team Leaders, Technicians and mechanical craftspersons.
• Operate Permit-to-Work, RAMS, Health & Safety policies and statutory duties.
• Prepare technical specifications, tender documents and contract documentation.
