Bedfordshire Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust seeks an Estates Officer (Mechanical) to lead maintenance and supervision of the mechanical services across Trust sites. You will ensure compliance with HTMs and safety standards while supporting the Estates Manager and Capital Projects.

Role requires HNC/HND in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering or higher, with experience in NHS estates and energy-saving initiatives. On-call duties and probationary processes apply.

Qualificações

• Postgraduate level knowledge in estate services management is expected.
• Experience managing NHS estates services and statutory compliance.
• AP/RP qualifications for mechanical systems preferred.

Responsabilidades

• Oversee mechanical services and maintenance contracts across sites.
• Supervise maintenance team, technicians and craftspersons.
• Manage permits, safety regulations and RAMS within policies.
• Lead energy improvement schemes with Sustainability Manager.
• Support Capital Projects and option appraisals for minor works.
• Coordinate maintenance shutdowns and liaise with stakeholders.
• Prepare drawings, specifications and keep accurate records.
• Act as Authorised Person for core mechanical trades.
• Participate in on-call rota and ensure service continuity.
