Job summary

University Hospitals of Derby and Burton NHS Foundation Trust in Burton-on-Trent is seeking an experienced Main area Estates Officer (Mechanical) to lead the operational mechanical engineering team. You will drive standardised practices and ensure high-quality, compliant maintenance services across the Trust’s estates.

The role requires a recognised mechanical apprenticeship, a degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent, and Appointed Person training.

Qualifications

• Recognised Mechanical Apprenticeship.
• Degree level qualification in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Recognised Appointed Person training/Appointment.

Responsibilities

• Lead the operational mechanical engineering team and develop standardised practices.
• Support delivery of modern maintenance services meeting compliant standards.
• Provide leadership, advice and support on mechanical plant within the Trust.
