Job summary
Doncaster and Bassetlaw Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust is seeking an experienced Estates officer to lead and support maintenance across hospital facilities. You will manage directly employed staff and contracted services to keep engineering systems compliant and reliable.
The role emphasises collaboration with clinical, technical and managerial colleagues. Applicants should have a technical engineering background (HNC/HND or equivalent) and NHS estates experience or a similar building
Qualifications
- Minimum HNC/HND or equivalent in mechanical, electrical or building services engineering.
- Experience in NHS estates management or related building services engineering.
- Ability to communicate with clinical, technical and managerial staff at all levels.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to managing the engineering maintenance section and staff resources.
- Ensure properties and building services are maintained to DOH standards.
- Procure services and goods, reconcile invoices, and monitor budgets.
- Participate in the 24/7 on-call service and provide technical guidance.
- Review NHS Estates Facilities Alerts and develop action plans.
