Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to shape mechanical design across water and wastewater projects in the UK. You will contribute from concept through to commissioning, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to keep programmes on track.

The role emphasises collaboration with clients and stakeholders, progression towards IEng/CEng, and travel to sites across the operational region. A strong driving licence is required.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Working towards IEng/CEng with a relevant Institution.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Methodical approach to problem solving.
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites.
• Water/wastewater experience required.

Responsibilities

• Develop the mechanical design of water and wastewater infrastructure from outline to handover.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Civil, Geotech and Process designers to meet programme and budget.
• Collaborate with commercial, operations and construction teams to deliver safe, practical solutions.
• Engage with the client to build strong relationships and a one-team approach.
