Job summary

Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to water and wastewater projects in the UK, bridging feasibility, design, construction and commissioning across the lifecycle. You’ll shape mechanical design for infrastructure and non-infrastructure works, ensuring safe, efficient, compliant solutions from concept to handover.

Based in Reading, you’ll work with a multidisciplinary team, travel to sites as required, and contribute to projects that protect communities

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering is required.
• Working towards IEng / CEng with a relevant Engineering Institution is advantageous.
• Ability to communicate effectively with team members and stakeholders.
• Methodical approach to problem solving.
• A valid driving licence and willingness to travel to sites across the region.

Responsibilities

• Develop mechanical design for water and wastewater infrastructure, from outline design through commissioning.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Civil, Geotech and Process designers to deliver designs on programme and within budget.
• Collaborate with commercial, operations and construction teams to deliver practical, safe solutions.
• Engage with clients as part of a one-team approach to achieving project aims.
