Mott MacDonald Bentley is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design of water and wastewater projects from concept through commissioning. You will ensure mechanical integrity across lifecycle stages, coordinating with multi-disciplinary teams to deliver robust, value-driven solutions on site.

The role emphasizes collaboration, mentoring, and delivering safe, efficient systems while supporting project objectives and client satisfaction on major schemes in the South West region.

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field.
• Chartered or incorporated member of a professional institution (e.g. ICE, IMechE) or equivalent experience.
• Water/wastewater experience is required.

Responsabilités

• Lead the mechanical design of water and wastewater infrastructure through all design stages.
• Coordinate with Electrical, Civil, Geotech and Process designers to meet programme, budget and quality targets.
• Collaborate with commercial, operational and construction teams to develop safe, practical solutions.
• Engage with clients, manage relationships and promote a one-team approach.
• Mentor engineers and help develop the mechanical team.
