Job summary

Eaton seeks a Senior Mechanical Engineer to join the Cheltenham team. You will develop product data to the domain level with minimal supervision, support design intent, and ensure delivery within schedule and budget.

You will interface with operations and supply chain to meet requirements and apply DFM/DFT practices throughout the project lifecycle. You will lead small work packages, communicate proposals at design reviews, and collaborate with commercial, finance and supply chain functions.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent with extensive post-qualification experience.
• Chartered engineer or equivalent preferred.
• Experience with EMI/EMC, PCB & enclosure design.
• Understanding of airworthiness and safety for certification, DO-160 awareness.
• Strong communication and documentation skills.

Responsibilities

• Prepare technical documents and design/product data to functional domain level with minimal supervision.
• Interface with operations and supply chain to ensure design intent is met.
• Lead small technical work packages and guide other engineers to meet schedule, budget and quality.
• Perform FEA analyses and contribute to design for manufacture and production processes.
• Author complex assemblies and drawings using CAD tools and ensure dimensional accuracy.
