Job summary

United Infrastructure Ltd in Warrington is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to lead the design, procurement, construction and commissioning of a Design & Build Natural Gas Compressor Station project. Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
• Chartered Engineer status (or working towards chartership) preferred.
• Minimum 10 years' experience in mechanical engineering within design and project management.
• Experience with natural gas infrastructure and compressor stations is desirable.

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate mechanical engineering activities through all project phases.
• Review and approve mechanical design deliverables (compressor packages, gas process, piping, etc.).
• Coordinate interfaces between mechanical and other disciplines (civil, electrical, process).
• Manage project deliverables against schedule and budget; provide technical leadership in procurement, fabrication, construction and commissioning.
• Coordinate FATs and vendor inspections; support site construction teams; respond to technical queries and changes.
• Assist in commissioning, handover and preparation of as-built documentation.
• Promote safety and ensure compliance with HSE requirements and permit-to-work systems.
