Job summary

Cadent Gas Ltd in the UK is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer to lead the specification, design, delivery and commissioning of complex systems across compressors, flow control valves and pressure control installations.

You will act as the central technical authority, manage multidisciplinary teams, assess technical risk and ensure safety, regulatory compliance and asset integrity across the project lifecycle.

Qualifications

• Degree qualification in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline.
• Chartered Engineer (CEng) or Incorporated Engineer (IEng), or able to demonstrate equivalent competence.
• Membership of a relevant professional body, such as the IET.

Responsibilities

• Lead the specification, design, delivery and commissioning of complex engineering systems including compressor systems, flow control valves and pressure control installations.
• Act as central technical authority across project teams, contractors and vendors to deliver integrated, reliable and future‑ready solutions.
• Mentor engineers and contribute to engineering procedures and training materials.
• Ensure compliance with safety, technical, commercial and legislative requirements across the project lifecycle.
