L3Harris Technologies in Brighton, UK is seeking a Senior Mechanical Engineer to contribute to design of mechanical architectures and lead key work packages. You will coordinate across disciplines, ensure alignment with requirements and lifecycle constraints, and drive technical reviews and substantiation for delivery against cost and schedule targets.

The role requires strong CAD/PDM experience, knowledge of manufacturing engineering, and the ability to manage technical scope with governance

Competenze

Bachelor level or higher in Mechanical/Aerospace Engineering.
Experience delivering engineering programmes/tasks.
Experience in requirements engineering and lifecycle management.
Awareness of risk management for assigned tasks.
Ability to work independently with competing priorities and governance.
Hands-on experience with 3D CAD tools and PDM.
Familiarity with MRP and manufacturing engineering.
Experience supporting technical reviews, work planning and schedules.

Provide technical design input to mechanical architectures, interfaces and key design features.
Lead assigned work packages and engineering programmes with accountability for scope, delivery, risk and outcomes.
Coordinate engineering activities across disciplines without line management.
Guide design intent and ensure alignment with requirements and lifecycle considerations.
Review, approve and assure mechanical design outputs and substantiation evidence.
Assess design feasibility against cost, schedule, manufacturability and lifecycle constraints.
Address complex technical issues escalated from project teams, manufacturing or suppliers.
Interface with customers and suppliers to clarify technical requirements and approaches.
Provide technical input to cost and schedule estimates.
Ensure compliance with BS8888, ISO 1101 and internal governance requirements.
