Job summary

L3Harris Technologies in Brighton, UK is seeking a Systems Engineer (Safety) to support the development, integration, and verification of complex aerospace systems. You will define system requirements, architecture, and interfaces, while embedding safety across the lifecycle.

Collaborate with mechanical, electrical and software teams; perform hazard analyses, support SRR/PDR/CDR reviews, and maintain technical documentation. UK nationality and potential security checks apply.

Qualifications

• Degree in Systems Engineering or related discipline; minimum 6+ years in Aerospace/Defence System Safety
• Experience with system safety artefacts and hazard analyses (FHA, PHA, FMEA, FTA)
• Ability to work across multidisciplinary teams and manage technical documentation

Responsibilities

• Develop, manage and trace system requirements from customer needs to verification
• Define system architecture and interfaces across mechanical, electrical and software elements
• Contribute to system integration, verification and validation activities
• Participate in design reviews (SRR, PDR, CDR, TRR) and maintain verification plans
• Ensure safety requirements are allocated, verified, and maintained throughout the design lifecycle
