Job summary

Energy Jobline CVL is seeking a Senior/Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical design for mission critical data centre facilities. You will own conceptual and detailed design, performing calculations with Hevacomp/IES and guiding CFD reviews with the supply chain.

Join a growing multi-disciplinary team, work on high-profile UK and international projects, and progress toward Principal/Associate Director levels within a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Degree-qualified in Mechanical Engineering, Building Services or a related discipline.
• Solid data centre or mission critical design experience.
• Working toward Chartered status, or already chartered (CIBSE / IMechE).
• Familiarity with BS EN 50600, ANSI/ASHRAE 90.4 and CIBSE guidance.

Responsibilities

• Producing conceptual and detailed mechanical design solutions in line with client briefs.
• Carrying out mechanical services design calculations using Hevacomp and IES software.
• Supporting CFD briefing and reviews with the supply chain.
• Taking projects from feasibility studies and concept design through to detailed design.
