Job summary

Energy Jobline ZR, partnering with a leading MEP consultancy, is seeking a Principal or Associate Mechanical Design Engineer in Leeds. The role blends design focus with progression, working in a hybrid model typically 2-3 days in the office and delivering data-centre oriented Building Services across RIBA Stages 2–4.

Qualifications

• Strong experience in Mechanical Design Engineering within the Building Services sector.
• Data Centre design experience is essential.
• Experience designing HVAC systems, cooling solutions, ventilation and associated mechanical plant.
• Background delivering MEP designs across RIBA Stages 2–4.
• CIBSE accreditation or industry specific charterships would be a bonus.
• Ability to lead projects, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams and mentor junior engineers.
• Comfortable working across sectors such as Commercial, Residential, Science, Healthcare or Aviation.
• Strong communication skills and confidence engaging with clients and internal stakeholders.
