Job summary

VIRTUS Data Centres in the UK is seeking a skilled Mechanical Engineer to join our engineering team. You will oversee the design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical and life safety systems for data centre projects, ensuring performance, safety, and energy efficiency.

Based primarily on site in West Drayton, you will collaborate with Project Management, MEP design, and construction teams to deliver robust, compliant solutions that meet client requirements and industry standards.

Qualifications

• Technical understanding of chilled water and HVAC mechanical systems.
• Proficient knowledge of fluid and thermodynamics principles.
• Experience with operations, maintenance, and delivery of mission critical facilities.

Responsibilities

• Oversee design, installation, and commissioning of mechanical systems in data centres.
• Coordinate with project management, MEP design, and construction teams to ensure on-time delivery.
• Review and ensure compliance with industry standards, codes and safety requirements.
