Job summary

Hoare Lea is seeking a Senior / Principal Mechanical Engineer to join our Data Centre & Mission Critical (MCDC) team. You will lead day-to-day mechanical design for data centre projects, engaging directly with clients and coordinating multidisciplinary inputs.

The role covers feasibility studies, masterplanning, live plant upgrades, testing and commissioning, with opportunities to mentor other engineers. UK and Ireland/Europe projects; hybrid working available.

Qualifications

• Proven experience as a Mechanical Engineer delivering mission critical and data centre projects.
• Experience with Revit, BIM workflows and AutoCAD.
• Strong knowledge of HVAC, chilled water, refrigerant systems and cooling plant.

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day mechanical design delivery for data centre and mission-critical projects.
• Act as a client-facing engineer, attending meetings and coordinating inputs.
• Prepare and review mechanical design deliverables, specifications and reports.
