Qualifications

• Proven experience in mechanical building services design within a consultancy environment.
• Clear communication skills and confidence in client-facing situations.
• Experience supporting or mentoring less experienced engineers.

Responsibilities

• Leading mechanical building services design across a range of projects and project stages.
• Developing solutions for heating, cooling, ventilation, water services and other mechanical systems.
• Coordinating designs with architects, electrical engineers, contractors and clients to resolve technical challenges.
• Managing project workloads, deadlines and deliverables while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Providing technical advice and contributing to key design decisions.
• Attending design meetings and site visits to support projects through construction.
• Reviewing calculations, specifications and drawings to ensure compliance with current regulations and industry standards.
• Supporting the development of junior engineers and knowledge sharing across the team.
• Exploring opportunities to improve energy performance and deliver more sustainable buildings.
