Aldwych Consulting is seeking a Senior Electrical Engineer in Nottingham to lead electrical building services design across a diverse project portfolio. Qualifications

• Degree or equivalent qualification in Electrical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Good working knowledge of UK building regulations, BS 7671 (IET Wiring Regulations), industry standards and electrical design principles.
• Experience coordinating projects with multiple disciplines and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Leading electrical building services design across a range of projects and project stages.
• Developing solutions for power distribution, lighting, emergency lighting, fire alarm systems, data and communications, security and other electrical systems.
• Working closely with mechanical engineers, architects, contractors and clients to coordinate designs and resolve technical challenges.
• Managing project workloads, deadlines and deliverables while maintaining high standards of quality.
• Providing technical advice and contributing to key design decisions.
• Attending design meetings and site visits to support projects through construction.
• Reviewing electrical calculations, specifications and technical drawings to ensure compliance with current regulations and industry standards.
• Supporting the development of junior engineers and helping to share knowledge across the team.
• Exploring opportunities to improve energy performance, integrate low-carbon technologies and deliver more sustainable buildings.
