Job summary

Glanua in Reading is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to lead mechanical design outputs across various wastewater treatment projects. This position entails guiding junior engineers, resolving technical issues, and maintaining Health & Safety standards.

The ideal candidate has 7-10 years of experience in mechanical design within the water and wastewater industry, excellent communication skills, and proficiency with relevant design tools.

Full driving license and willingness to travel across Ireland and the UK are essential.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 7-10 years experience in mechanical design engineering.
• Experience in water, wastewater, or process engineering environments is essential.
• Proven proficiency in hydraulic calculations and design/construction drawings.

Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of mechanical design outputs across all project stages.
• Mentor and quality-check the work of junior engineers.
• Liaise with clients and manage third-party design packages for quality and compliance.
