Job summary

Glanua is seeking a Senior Mechanical Project Engineer to deliver mechanical solutions for wastewater treatment projects in North Yorkshire, UK. You will lead mechanical design, manage sub-contracts, and collaborate with civil, process, electrical teams to ensure seamless integration from design through completion.

The role requires 10+ years of experience in water/wastewater projects, strong HSE knowledge, and proficiency with AutoCAD/Revit/MS Project.

Qualifications

At least 10 years of proven experience as a Project Engineer or Senior Project Engineer in the water and wastewater industry.
Strong knowledge of health, safety and environmental standards in mechanical design and construction for water and wastewater sectors.
Familiarity with AutoCAD, Revit and MS Project is highly desirable; full UK driving license held.

Responsibilities

Lead mechanical design and sub-contract package delivery for water and wastewater projects.
Coordinate with civil, process, electrical, ICA, and H&S teams to ensure seamless integration of mechanical systems.
Manage procurement and equipment selection (pumps, valves, tanks, pipework) and ensure compliance with project specifications.
Coordinate and manage subcontractors to align with objectives, timelines and quality standards.
Conduct regular site visits to monitor progress, troubleshoot issues, and ensure safety and compliance.
