Job summary

CIBSE Journal in the UK is seeking a Senior / Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to lead feasibility and detailed design on major water and wastewater schemes. You will collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure practical, compliant solutions from concept through to delivery.

You will deliver feasibility, outline, detailed and final mechanical design work, review designs, and take technical responsibility for smaller packages.

Qualifications

• A Mechanical Engineering degree or equivalent qualification.
• Experience delivering projects through the full design life cycle.
• Previous UK Water or Wastewater sector experience.
• Experience working on AMP–related projects for a UK Water Authority.
• Experience using 3D design tools and other relevant proprietary engineering software.

Responsibilities

• Deliver feasibility, outline, detailed and final mechanical design work.
• Review mechanical designs, technical specifications, proposals and submissions.
• Take technical responsibility for smaller projects and work packages.
• Support design reviews for Water Authority AMP projects.
• Work on water infrastructure projects including treatment works and pumping stations.
