Job summary

Carrington West is seeking a Senior / Principal Mechanical Design Engineer to work on major UK Water and Wastewater schemes. Location: UK-wide, hybrid to local office. Rate: Dependent on Experience.

Duration: 12 Months+/Ongoing. You will deliver feasibility through to detailed designs, review designs, and provide technical guidance within multidisciplinary teams. Some travel to office/site may be required about fortnightly.

Qualifications

• Experience delivering projects through full design life cycle from inception to detailed design.
• Proven UK Water/Wastewater sector experience and AMP project exposure.
• Proficiency with 3D design tools and related engineering software.
• Ability to take technical responsibility for smaller projects or work packages.

Responsibilities

• Deliver feasibility, outline, detailed and final mechanical design work.
• Review mechanical designs, technical specs, proposals and submissions.
• Take technical responsibility for smaller projects or work packages.
• Support key design reviews for Water Authority AMP projects.
• Work on Water treatment works, Wastewater treatment works, pumping stations and related water infrastructure.
