Senior Mechanical Design Engineer (Water)
We are currently recruiting multiple Senior Mechanical Design Engineers (Water) for long-term frameworks across the UK, including a significant £100 million framework with United Utilities to improve river health in Northwest England.
RPS has over 20 years of collaboration with United Utilities on innovative water projects. As we approach AMP8, this is an exciting phase to contribute to the water industry, working with passionate organizations to create positive change.
Within this 10-year framework, RPS aims to optimize programs, develop solutions, and select the best options based on value, carbon footprint, and cost, delivering exceptional water services for a resilient and eco-friendly Northwest.
About The Team:
Our Water Consulting team comprises Engineers, Modellers, and Data Analysts providing Asset Management and Operational Strategy to support business planning and delivery in the water sector. The industry offers ongoing challenges and opportunities requiring innovation, dedication, and teamwork.
We also work with several major UK water companies under long-term frameworks, leading into AMP8 and beyond, offering career stability and growth.
About You:
You should have experience producing technical outputs (specifications, pump and aeration system designs, reports) and collaborating on planning reviews and design solutions. Skills include creating General Arrangement Drawings, 3D models, P&ID diagrams, and delivering technical presentations. Knowledge of water and wastewater treatment processes and infrastructure assessment is essential.
