Job summary

Justrite Safety Group UK is hiring a Mechanical Engineer to join the Hughes Safety Showers operations. Based in Stockport, you will process orders, generate GA drawings and BOMs, and support sales with bespoke solutions while driving VAVE and KPI-driven projects.

You’ll work with the technical manager and CI team to develop new concepts, improve CAD data management, and mentor junior engineers. Remote work options and flexible hours are available within the role.

Qualifications

• 3+ years experience in a senior role within an engineering design team.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint.
• Experience creating and maintaining BOMs in an ERP system; knowledge of ERP impact on engineering.

Responsibilities

• Process sales orders and create bespoke solutions to customer requirements, including safety walk-throughs at facilities.
• Lead VAVE activities and major projects with KPI linkage; develop new ideas to improve performance.
• Collaborate with the technical manager to develop concepts for future market opportunities; assist CI team in production issue resolution.
• Line management duties including performance management, discipline and training.
• Support Sales with a centralized repository of standard drawings and help Production create detailed manufacturing drawings.
• Create BOMs for assemblies from approved GA/manufacturing drawings using the ERP system; improve KPI alignment.
• Share knowledge with junior team members and drive process efficiency and RFT improvements.
• Oversee project sign-off and assess cost/capability impact of customer feedback on drawings.
