Job summary

Mercedes-AMG PETRONAS F1 Team in Brackley seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for the MGP Applied Science Design Group. You will own complex mechanical, composite and hydraulic systems from concept to testing and implementation on the car.

You’ll use Catia V5/3DX for 3D modelling, work with the structural team for optimization, run FEA, and drive weight reduction while maintaining reliability. The role involves collaborating across departments to deliver high‑performance, cost‑effective

Qualifications

• Mechanical, automotive, or aeronautical degree (2:1 minimum) or similar.
• Proven understanding of mechanical design and first principles.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical, composite, and hydraulic systems and own integration into the car package.
• Mass tracking and reliability support across life cycle.
