Job summary

Mercedes‑AMG PETRONAS F1 Team in Brackley seeks a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to own the design and integration of mechanical, composite and hydraulic systems across high‑performance car programmes.

You will apply Catia V5/3DX for 3D models, perform FEA and hand calculations, and partner with structures, manufacturing and other domains to deliver optimised, reliable components with minimal mass.

Qualifications

• Engineering degree with 2:1 or higher.
• Deep understanding of mechanical design principles.
• Solid grasp of modern materials and manufacturing processes.

Responsibilities

• Design and develop mechanical, composite, and hydraulic systems for the car.
• Own integration of components into the overall car package.
• Lead weight reduction and performance optimisation through analysis.
