Job summary

Ethos in Birmingham is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to drive the design of mechanical services for data centre projects across EMEA. You will oversee concept through client handover, mentor staff, and ensure adherence to CIBSE/ASHRAE/EN standards.

The role offers hybrid working, fostering collaboration with the Dublin team while delivering high-impact projects in a growing UK hub.

Qualifications

• Honours Degree in Engineering, Chartered an advantage.
• 7+ years of experience in data centres, industrial, high tech, or healthcare projects.
• Strong knowledge of CIBSE, ASHRAE, BS, IS and EN standards.
• Proficient with Bluebeam, AutoCAD and REVIT; MS Office.

Responsibilities

• Lead mechanical services design from concept to handover.
• Prepare detailed tender packages and analyses.
• Ensure design standards and quality checks across projects.
• Mentor engineering staff and coordinate with clients.
• Engage with design teams to develop project scopes.
