Job summary

True Engineers is seeking a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to work on data centre / MEP projects in a hybrid role based in North Kent. You will contribute to the full mechanical design process from brief to delivery.

Candidates should have mechanical building services design experience, with data centre project exposure, and be proficient with industry software to model and specify components. This 9–12 month contract offers competitive hourly rates (£45–£60) and a collaborative team

Qualifications

• Degree / HND / HNC in Mechanical Engineering, preferred though not essential.
• Design experience in mechanical building systems.
• Previous data centre design experience is essential.
• Confident user of industry standard software.

Responsibilities

• Involved in the full cycle of projects from client briefs and planning, through to design and supervision and final completion.
• Carrying out the detailed mechanical services design and calculations.
• Production/writing of mechanical specifications, schedules, reports and technical papers.
• Attend a wide range of meetings with client, design team and site.
