Job summary

Careermakers are recruiting an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer for a building services engineering business in Liverpool. The role combines hands-on mechanical design with technical coordination through project delivery, liaising with clients, architects and other stakeholders.

You will work across design development to site implementation, using CAD and Revit, and contribute to sustainable design and project handovers.

Qualifications

• Degree in Building Services or a relevant field.
• Building Services qualification at HNC/HND level or equivalent.
• Experience in the building services industry.
• CAD and Revit experience.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support in weekly meetings with in-house teams and clients.
• Collaborate with clients and sub-suppliers to support project delivery.
• Participate in design reviews and oversee technical documentation.
• Support site processes to ensure designs are implemented.
• Specify and procure project materials.
• Undertake project planning.
• Design mechanical services, HVAC and public health installations.
• Coordinate drawings and CAD/Revit outputs.
• Support estimating, cost control and submissions.
• Prepare project reports and design studies.
