Carrington West is seeking an experienced Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join a busy building services consultancy with offices in Croydon and Central London. You will work across healthcare, commercial, education, defence, industrial, leisure and public sector projects, delivering technically challenging mechanical building services solutions.

You will lead design across feasibility to construction stages, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and support BIM and decarbonisation

Qualifications

• Degree in Mechanical or Building Services Engineering.
• Strong UK building services consultancy experience.
• Experience delivering mechanical BSE design projects.
• Experience with Cymap/MEPWorx, AutoCAD or Revit.

Responsabilités

• Lead and deliver mechanical building services design across projects and stages.
• Undertake surveys, design calculations, drawings, specifications and technical reports.
• Prepare heat loss and heat gain calculations and sizing calculations for pipework, ductwork, drainage, plant and associated equipment.
• Produce and coordinate mechanical designs using relevant CAD, Revit and engineering calculation software.
• Develop mechanical specifications and ensure designs comply with relevant legislation, regulations, standards and health and safety requirements.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, structural engineers and other consultants within multidisciplinary design teams.
• Attend design meetings, technical workshops, value engineering workshops, risk workshops and site meetings.
• Support project delivery through tender evaluations, contractor recommendations, construction activities, snagging, defects and practical completion.

Are you an experienced Mechanical Design Engineer looking for your next opportunity with an established building services consultancy?

Our client, an independent building services consultancy with offices in Croydon and Central London, is looking for a Senior Mechanical Design Engineer to join their growing team.

You will be working across healthcare, commercial, education, defence, industrial, leisure and public sector projects, they deliver technically challenging mechanical building services solutions across a diverse project portfolio.

What They're Looking For

• A degree, HNC/HND or equivalent qualification in Mechanical Engineering or Building Services Engineering.
• Strong UK building services consultancy experience.
• Experience delivering mechanical building services design projects.
• Experience with mechanical calculation software such as Cymap/MEPWorx.
• Experience using AutoCAD and/or Revit.
• Good knowledge of Building Regulations and relevant British Standards relating to mechanical services design.
• Strong communication and coordination skills, with the ability to work effectively within multidisciplinary project teams.
